What makes Atom Threads different?

Atom Threads is the first known organization to engineer production equipment that converts Graphene nano-particles into continuous pure Graphene fibers that can be integrated into existing end user products; this includes immediate potential for the following applications:

  • Air and space - mechanical parts, gear, clothing, and radiation proofing

  • Safety clothing and gear - bullet/ballistic proof surfaces , and fabrics

  • Medical applications - antimicrobial, self-decontaminating surfaces, an fabrics

Having 20+ patents, a team of 20+ world class scientist and engineers in partnership with Hanyang University; this is the first known scalable Graphene production technology and was designed to be disruptive.

Atom Threads current limitation is not technology (they invented that) but physical space and resources; they are looking for the right partner with the resources to help optimize and upgrade the current production equipment to affect positive global, social & economic change.

Current Fiber Variations:

 

(1) Ultra-Strong Graphene Fiber (“USGF”) with an emphasis on high-strength and lightweight performance, and:

(2) Conductive Fiber (“CF”) with an emphasis on electrical conductivity and data transferring properties.

In addition to longer, larger diameter GF(s) their technology can produce data transferring (conductive) GF with diameters as small as 3μm to 4μm (with repeatability and at lab-scale).

At this diameter (3μm to 4μm), their lab-equipment can currently produce repeatable lengths up to 30 cm (300 mm).  The technology was developed to be bio-compatible and could transform the brain machine interfacing industry after proper testing.

1. Design (complete)

Atom Threads team of scientist and engineers have developed the specifications for the next generation of production equipment that will allow Atom Threads to produce higher volumes and enhanced fiber metrics with the potential to redefine material limitations.

2. Build

At this stage the existing equipment is impressive, but Atom Threads is looking for a partner with the resources to put their future plan into action. Atom Threads is confident that construction the next generation of production equipment will take less than one year from the commencement date. They are hoping to start building their lab within the next two to three months.

3. Deliver

It is Atom Threads goal to deliver in limited quantities of the first pure Graphene fibers upon the completion of their next facility; this will allow Atom Threads to provide industry leaders with enough volume to start developing end user products utilizing Graphene Fiber for the first time.
